Biography
HOLDEN – Frederick A. Hohler, 87, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 under the loving care of his family and the staff at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. He was born and raised in Worcester the son of the late Frank and Rose Hohler and had lived in Holden for 60 years.
Fred was educated in the Worcester School system and served his country proudly in the Navy during World War II. He graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology and was a Massachusetts registered professional engineer. He worked for the Heald Division of Milacron for 34 years and was awarded numerous patents.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, E. Lillian (Lawrence) Hohler; a sister-in-law, Ingrid V. Lawrence and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a memorial service in celebration of his life at 2 p.m., on Monday, August 19, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
