WORCESTER – Daniel F. Reardon, 92, of May Street, died on Monday, July 19, 2010 in the Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing Home, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 35 years, Irene J. (Fournier) Beaudoin-Reardon. His first wife of 27 years, Mary V. (Lawler) Reardon, died in 1973. He also leaves nine children, Daniel L. Reardon of West Boylston, Thomas P. Reardon of Spencer; Mary K. Raskett, Carolyn Bourget, Joan Recore and Peter Beaudoin of Worcester, Paul Beaudoin of Leicester, Gail Stuczko of Auburn and Anne Reardon of Paxton; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Daniel A. and Norah (Shea) Reardon.
Mr. Reardon was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre aboard the USS Patoka. He was an office machine technician at Allmerica Life Insurance Co., retiring in 1981. Previously he worked for Smith Corona and Worcester Business Machines. He was a member of St. George’s Church and its Men’s Club, the Worcester Lodge of Elks #243 and the Greendale Retired Men’s Club. He enjoyed golfing.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 22nd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral will be held on Friday, July 23rd, from the funeral home with a 12 noon Mass of Christian Burial in St. George’s Church, 40 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, 260 Cambridge Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Hospice, 1183 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
