HOLDEN – Frank A. Wisner, Jr., 55, of 100 Sawyer Lane, died Friday July 2, 2004, in the presence of his loving family in UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester after a brief illness.
He leaves his parents, Frank A. and Helen M. (Skerry) Wisner of Holden; two sisters, Jacquelyn M. Kelly of Princeton and Susan W. Weeks of Greenfield; and six nephews. He was born in Holden, graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and Worcester Junior College.
Frank was the night director of the ski school and the training clinician for instructors at Wachusett Mountain Ski Area since 1986. He was a long time tennis coach at the YMCA in Worcester and the Westboro Tennis Club, and was a founding member of the World Team Tennis Club in Worcester. He was a member of “The Grouppe”, a former rock band from the 1970s.
The funeral service for Frank will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland Street (Rte. 31), Holden. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery, 1290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. At the request of Frank’s family, flowers are to be omitted and life giving blood can be donated in his name to a local American Red Cross Blood Bank, or contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress Street, Boston, MA 02210.
