Francis J. Casamassa

STERLING – Francis J. Casamassa, 65, of Palm Harbor, Florida, formerly of Sterling, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Karen A. (Girouard) Casamassa; a son, Francis C. Casamassa and his wife Kellyann of West Boylston; a daughter, Catherine M. Rouleau of Sterling; a sister, Marie Kilmer of Florida; three grandchildren, Caitlin, Dylan and Tyler; and many nephews and nieces. A brother, Cosmo Casamassa of Oxford predeceased him.
Francis was born in Worcester, the son of Cosmo D. and Veronica T. (Shiraka) Casamassa and lived in Sterling most of his life. He owned and operated K & F Leasing, Inc. in Sterling. Previously, he was a truck driver for many years for area companies including Bill Fredrick’s trucking in Leominster. During the 1960’s Francis and Karen owned the West Boylston Diner. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He enjoyed summers in Sanford, Maine and loved to spend time with his family and his two dogs, Jake and Jackie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 29, in Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. A private committal service will be held at a later date at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling.
