Francesco J. "Frank" Caruso

July 15, 1937 — March 23, 2021

HOLDEN - Francesco J. "Frank" Caruso, 83, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester. Frank was born in Worcester, one of eight children of the late Matteo and Porzia (Tatalo) Caruso and grew up in the Shrewsbury Street neighborhood of Worcester.

He will be lovingly missed and remembered by his wife of 53 years, Alyce F. (Collins) Caruso; his son, Matthew J. Caruso of Holden; his daughter, Lisa McKiernan and her husband, Michael of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Michael and Brendan McKiernan; his brother, Matteo Caruso Jr. of San Antonio, TX; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Peter Caruso, George Caruso, Alphonse Caruso and Anthony Caruso; and his sisters, Mary Ferraro and Grace Bisceglia.

Frank's life was centered on the important things; his family and friends. For many years he was a fixture at Ken-Weld Inc. in Worcester where he made life-long friendships with many of his co-workers. He met the love of his life, Alyce F. Collins while he was a patient at Worcester City Hospital and she was his nurse. The couple married almost 54 years ago and settled in Holden. Frank loved watching old western films with his children and grandsons and he was always looking forward to the next family gathering. He will be greatly missed.
