Biography
WORCESTER – Frances M. (Israel) Afremoff, age 97, died on Thursday, January 8th at the Jewish Healthcare Center.
Her first husband, Abraham Afremoff, died in 1994. She leaves two daughters, Lora, wife of Lawrence Cotton of Worcester, and Lois, wife of Stephen Kaufman of Boca Raton, FL; a brother, Morton Israel of Del Ray Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Jessica Cotton of Newton, Dr. Jennifer Cotton of Corvalis, OR, Jeffrey Kaufman, and his wife, Kim of Santa Fe, NM and Michael Kaufman and his wife, Dana of Omaha; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail, and Benjamin Kaufman. Her second husband, David Soloway, died in 2010.
For many years she was a salesperson for Gaffin Gifts, retiring in 1982. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish Healthcare Center and was formerly a long time member of Temple Emanuel Sinai.
GRAVESIDE FUNERAL SERVCICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00 PM ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 11TH AT B’NAI BRITH CEMETERY ON ST. JOHNS RD IN WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN.
Memorial Observance will be held through Sunday afternoon, Jan. 11th in the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester.
