WORCESTER/RUTLAND - Frances B. Katinas, 71, of Cheryl Ann Drive, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Autumn Village Nursing & Rehabilitation in Worcester after an illness.
She leaves a sister, Cynthia S. Katinas of Rutland; a brother, Richard L. Katinas and his wife Valerie of Millbury; two nephews, Dana J. Katinas and his wife Karen of Novi, MI and Christopher J. Katinas and his wife Jessica of Woodstock, CT; a great-nephew, Nathan; and four great-nieces, Nicole, Katelyn, Sarah and Allison. Frances was born in Worcester the daughter of John V. and Frances H. (Katonis) Katinas and lived in Rutland before moving back to Worcester several years ago.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Donna Kay Rest Home, St. Francis Adult Day Health, Autumn Village and Brookhaven Hospice for their compassion and care.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 7th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Ms. Katinas will be held on Tuesday, June 8th, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church, 258 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home, c/o ADH, 101 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01604; or Autumn Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Activity Fund, 25 Oriol Drive, Worcester, MA 01605.
