WORCESTER – Florence J. (Cardin) Jakubowicz of Parkton Avenue died Thursday, February 5, 2004, in Autumn Village, Worcester, after an illness.
Her loving husband of 54 years, Frank “Jake” J. Jakubowicz, died in 1995. She leaves two daughters, Nancy M. Chosta of Worcester, and Carol A. Case and her husband Richard Desmarias of Sterling; two grandchildren, Kevin Chosta of Shrewsbury and Nathan Case of Worcester; two brother-in-laws, Al Jacobs of Arizona, and Edward and his wife, Lucy Michalak of Shrewsbury; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. She was born in Grafton, the daughter of Noel and Mederise (Lavallee) Cardin, and lived in Worcester most of her life.
Mrs. Jakubowicz was a member of St. George’s Church in Worcester, and enjoyed crocheting and bowling.
The funeral for Mrs. Jakubowicz will be held Saturday, February 7, 2004, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on February 7, 2004, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
