NORTHBOROUGH/STERLING – Florence “Fawn” D. (Favour) Brown, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough. She was born in Uncasville, CT, the daughter of the late Frank L. and Hortense D. (Vittaly) Favour. Her husband, Edward S. Brown, predeceased her.
During the depression, Fawn and her family lived in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada. Later, her family moved to the Clinton and Lancaster where she spent the rest of her childhood and she graduated from Lancaster High School, during the World War II years.
She and Edward were married in 1946 and moved to Sterling in 1957, where they lived for almost 60 years. Fawn worked as a homemaker for many years before becoming a sales representative for Kelly Services and Manpower Inc.
She enjoyed travel and family camping, and loved her family vacations to the White Mountains and Acadia National Park. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the First Church in Sterling and was active with the Sterling Historical Commission. Fawn was always interested and involved in art, an activity which she enjoyed in her later years.
Fawn is survived by her two sons, Bruce H. Brown and his wife, Suzanne of Jefferson and Donald A. Brown and his wife, Janis of Sterling; two grandchildren, Donald “D.J.” Brown Jr. and his fiancée, Lizbeth Perez and Lauren Collier and her husband, Eric. She is predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Frederick Favour; three sisters, Georgia Pond, Jean Steves and Esther “Essie” Hair; and a grandson, Andrew Brown.
A Funeral Service celebrating and remembering Fawn will be held privately at Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd., Sterling. Burial will be private at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made on line to the Alzheimer’s Association at
