HOLDEN – Florence A. (Manning) Boehnke, 73, of 84 Mount Pleasant Avenue, a life-long resident of Jefferson, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, in UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, after a sudden illness.
She leaves her husband of 39 years, Edward C. Boehnke; her son, Carl E. Boehnke of Jefferson; a daughter, Janice E. McNamara of Princeton; two step-sons, Richard C. McNamara of Hawaii and James C. McNamara of Sterling; a step-daughter, Sharon Glennon of Clinton; many nephews and nieces and grandnephews and nieces. She was born in Holden, daughter of William and Mary P. (Brazeau) Manning, and was a graduate of Ascension High School in Worcester.
Mrs. Boehnke was a professional twister for 20 years at Standard Yarn Co. in Worcester. She was a life-long member of St. Mary’s Church and the Notre Dame Alumni.
The funeral for Mrs. Boehnke will be held on Wednesday, April 26, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in the funeral home. Please omit flowers.
