HOLDEN – Judith H. (Foley) Porter, 67, of Pinebrook Lane, Jefferson, died with dignity and grace on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester.
Her husband of 33 years, John E. Porter, died in 1998. She leaves a son, Michael J. Porter of South Grafton; three daughters, Christine M. Merlin and her husband Jeffrey and Tricia A. Corrigan, all of Holden, and Jennifer M. Cray and her husband Daniel of South Grafton; a brother, Michael Foley of Holden; three sisters, Sister Patricia Ann Foley of Worcester, Paula "Penny" Jackson of Worcester and Donna Dion of Oxford; a granddaughter, Ella Elizabeth Cray; and many nephews and nieces.
Judith was born and raised in Worcester, a daughter of William J. and Ann H. (Yenavich) Foley, and has lived in Jefferson for 33 years. She was a graduate of Worcester Girls Trade and was the office manager at Cole Contracting in Worcester for 23 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and granddaughter, Ella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 25th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Judith will be held on Monday, October 26th, from the funeral home with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 07101.
