Herbert E. Wilson

PAXTON – Herbert E. Wilson, 85, of Forestdale Road, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after an illness.

His wife of 52 years, Durilda M. (Brehio) Wilson, died in 2007. He leaves his sons, Frederick P. Marshall and his wife Olivette of N. Grafton, and Bruce W. Wilson and his wife Eveleen of Southbridge; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters predeceased him. He was born in Orange, the son of William W.. and Lillian J. (Goldthwaite) Wilson and lived in Paxton for 50 years.

Mr. Wilson was a US Navy Veteran of World War II, serving aboard the USS Nevada. He worked at several business machine repair companies in the area, and was the Service Manager at the Underwood Olivetti Company, in Worcester until his retirement.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 20th, followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be private in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Care Hospice, Development Office, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
