HOLDEN – Ruth E. (Seavey) White, 91, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in the Lutheran Home of Worcester after an illness.
Her husband of 63 years, Newell F. White, died in 2002. She leaves eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Brian N. White of Indiana, predeceased her. She was born in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Bartlett P. and Ethel (Seavey) Seavey and lived many years in Holden.
Ruth graduated from Pembroke High School in Maine. For a number of years, she worked as a nurse’s aide at the Holden Nursing Home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holden.
A memorial service for Ruth will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11th, in the First Baptist Church of Holden, 1216 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be private in the Hillside Cemetery, Rindge, New Hampshire. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Holden, Memorial Fund, 1216 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
