GRAFTON/SHREWSBURY – Dorothy E. (Walsh) Filgerleski, 74, of Main Street, Shrewsbury, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2009 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, after an illness.
Her husband of 45 years, Stanley J. Filgerleski, passed away in 2000. She leaves two sons, Mark W. Filgerleski and his wife Lorene of Gilbertville and Michael J. Filgerleski and his wife Tonia of Holden; a daughter, Darlene K. DeCaire of Worcester; a brother, William Walsh of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Vanessa, Mark, Kimberly, Brent, Cameron and Bailey; and several nephews and nieces.
Dorothy was born in Dorchester, the daughter of Thomas P. and Selma (Hill) Walsh. She was a graduate of Holden High School and lived in Grafton for 49 years before moving to Shrewsbury nine months ago. She was a bookkeeper for Wheelabrator in Millbury for over 10 years and loved bingo and trips to Foxwoods.
A private funeral service will be held in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, 1232 22nd Street N.W., Washington, DC 20037-1292.
