Evelyn N. (Pelletier) Farrington

July 21, 1915 — September 30, 2004

SHREWSBURY - Evelyn N. (Pelletier) Farrington, 89, formerly of Lincoln Park Towers in Worcester, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2004, in the Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She is survived by two sons, Sheldon G. Farrington and his wife Geneva of Forest, Louisana, Royce H. Farrington and his wife Sue of Texas; two daughters, Joyce M. Beckwith and her husband Dennis of Cambridge, New York; Edla M. Harting and her husband Stanwood of Apache Junction, Arizona; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Philip N. Farrington, Jr., who died in 1994.

Mrs. Farrington was born in St. John, Maine, July 21, 1915, the daughter of the late Denis and Marie (Ouellette) Pelletier. She was a member of The Conservative Baptist Church in Presque Isle, ME for many years. When she moved to Worcester in 1961, she became a member of the Pleasant Street Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and was an active member of both churches. She worked for several years retiring from W.T. Grant, and finished her career at The Fair in Auburn. During retirement she visited her children and family. She loved knitting and spent much of her time making afghans.

The funeral service for Mrs. Farrington will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 4, in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a calling hour one hour prior from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, 1290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
