Biography
WORCESTER - Evelyn (Dahrooge) Kalil, 89, passed away on June 5, 2016 at the Christopher House, 10 Scano Drive, Worcester. She was a daughter of Charles and Anna (Stachura) Dahrooge and lived in Worcester her entire life. Her husband, John, died in 1985.
She leaves a daughter, Carol Kalil Hamilton in Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, Jason Hamilton, Sherri Kalil, and Kyra Fournier; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Charles Dahrooge; two sisters, Babe Dahrooge and Rita Caffarelli; a son, John N. Kalil, Jr.; and a grandson, Derek Hamilton.
She and her husband owned and operated the former Kalil’s Bakery in Worcester. She previously worked at the Corner Lunch, the White City Theatre and Dunkin Donuts.
The family wishes to thank the loving staff at the Christopher House as well as the staff at the Jewish Community Healthcare for the personalized care provided to Evelyn over the final years of her life.

The Funeral and Burial were held privately under the care and direction of Philip G. Haddad, Jr., Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
