Evelyn D. Carr

Worcester - Evelyn D. (St. Onge) Carr, 96, died peacefully at home on Monday, September 27, 2021. She was born in Southbridge, the daughter of Herman and Isabelle (Therrien) St. Onge.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Joseph A. Carr, Sr. in 2012. She is survived by her sons, Richard Carr and his wife, Pamela of East Brookfield, Joseph Carr Jr. and his wife, Donna of East Brookfield and William Carr of Worcester; her daughter, Karen Benson and her husband, Dave of Palmer; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Evelyn was also predeceased by her daughter, Ida Van Deusen; her grandson, Richard Carr Jr.; her brothers, Herman St. Onge and Robert St. Onge; and her sisters, Irene Alukas and Theresa Gentile.

Evelyn enjoyed leading a simple life. She worked hard for many years at various manufacturing and retail jobs. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with family and trips to the casino with her friends. She will be dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, 173 Drake Street, East Brookfield. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden.
