Esther A. (Davis) Morrow

January 16, 1930 — May 27, 2015

STERLING - Esther A. (Davis) Morrow of Sterling passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Oakdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in West Boylston surrounded by her loving family.

Esther was born in Lincoln, Vermont, the daughter of Irving and Ellen (May) Davis. She graduated from West Boylston High School in 1951 and began her 30-year career as a quality control supervisor with the Van Brode Milling Company. Esther also worked for E.B. Kingman, Co. She retired in 1987.

She loved to bake and was famous for her homemade donuts. She was a former member of Oakdale United Methodist Church where she was very active. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and canning but most of all, she loved taking care of her family.

Esther leaves her daughter, Gloria J. Rugg and her husband, Raymond of Sterling; her son, Kenneth J. Morrow and his companion, Sylvia Page of Leominster; her son, David K. Morrow and his wife, Cheryl of Worcester; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, John A. Morrow, Sr.; a son, John A. Morrow, Jr.; her parents, Irving and Ellen Davis; two brothers, William Davis and Irving Davis, Jr.; and two sisters, Mildred Rodgers and Laura Wheeler.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 4-6pm in the Miles-Sterling Funeral and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 N. Main Street, West Boylston, MA 01583 or to Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, 76 N. Main Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
