S Marcia E. (Riel) Shea
March 22, 1938 — July 16, 2009
OAKHAM – Marcia "Hunny" Shea, 71, of Old Turnpike Road, died on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester after an illness.
Her husband of 48 years, Michael J. Shea, Jr., died in 2004. She is survived by her 5 daughters, Betsy Josephson and her husband Gregg of Oakham, Pamela Shea of Barre, Wendy Shea of Largo, FL, Paula Kurtz of Venice, FL and Heidi Case of Clearwater, FL; a sister, Marilyn Soter of Worcester; 13 grandchildren and 4 great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
Marcia was born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Gladys L. (Heath) Riel and lived in Worcester, Princeton and Largo, Florida before moving to Oakham in 2005. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22nd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakham Fire Association, 178A Barre Road, Oakham, MA 01068.
