WORCESTER/HOLDEN - Enis Anna “Unes” Arell, 95, formerly of Jefferson, died on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in the Jewish Healthcare Center, Worcester, after a period of declining health. She was the loving wife for 66 years of the late Rene R. Arell.
She was born in Jefferson, the daughter of Andrew and Susie (Pandolphi) Occhialini. She graduated from Holden High School and worked for the U. S. Postal Service in Jefferson until her retirement in 1978. She was a member and Communicant at St. Mary’s Church in Jefferson and a member of St. Mary’s Women’s Guild for many years. Following her retirement, she was active at the Holden Senior Center and Friends of the Holden Council on Aging. She was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons and their families: Paul and his wife, Dana of Centennial, Colorado; Robert and his wife, Mary of Bangor, Maine; her two grandsons, Andrew of Crested Butte, Colorado and Michael of Bangor, Maine; her granddaughter Emily and her husband, Michael Beyer of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; her great-grandsons, Asher and Isaac Arell and great-granddaughter Sydney Beyer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Silvio, Leo, and Francis and her sister Hilda (Occhialini) Amello.
Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, followed by a procession to St. Mary’s Church, 114 Princeton Street, Jefferson, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Holden.
