BARRE – Hazel Emily (Clark) Clough, 90, of Old Coldbrook Road, died on Monday, October 19, 2009. She was born on April 24, 1919 in Ludlow, a daughter of Leroy M. and Irene (Allen) Clark, and lived in Barre most of her life.
Her husband of 35 years, Allen L. Clough, died in 1975. She is survived by her children, Robert A. Clough and his wife Rose of Hudson, NY, Joyful I. Waszink and her husband Remco of North Huntingdon, PA, Edward A. Clough and his wife Norma of California, Nancy L. Jackson and her husband Ernie of Lake Oswego, OR, and Arthur H. and Lawrence S. Clough, both of Barre; her sisters, Madeline Willey of West Brookfield and Elizabeth Smith of St. Pete, FL; a brother, Warren Clark of Hardwick; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A grandson, Eric Clough, and two brothers, Harold and Howard Clark, predeceased her.
Hazel lived in Barre most of her life. She worked as a machine operator at Wirefab, Inc. in Worcester for several years, retiring in 1982. She loved flower gardens, dolls and traveling and was known far and wide for her always wearing a flower in her hair. She will be greatly missed and she was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 23rd, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 24th, in the funeral home with burial following in Glen Valley Cemetery, Valley Road, Barre.
