RUTLAND – Elsie L. (Rondeau) Willett, 79, of 21 Inwood Road, died Saturday, October 16, 2004, in Umass Memorial Medical Center after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Leroy E. Willett; a son, Donald L. Willett and his wife Linda of Rutland; two daughters, Susan C. Fahlbeck and her husband Robert of N. Grafton; and Judith A. Collette and her husband Roger of Millbury; five grandchildren, Brian and Nicole Willett, Pamela Fahlbeck, Lisa Bell and Brenda Nadeau; two great-grandchildren, Emma Willett and Nicholas Nadeau; nephews and nieces and a cousin. A granddaughter, Bonnie Collette, a brother, Raymond Rondeau and a sister, Theresa Catacchio predeceased her. She was born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Louis and Louise (Pelletier) Rondeau, and lived 50 years in Rutland.
Mrs. Willett graduated from Worcester Girls Trade High School and worked 30 years for Brown Shoe Company in Worcester and several years for Risdon Corporation in Holden. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Rutland and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, crafts and playing bingo.
The funeral for Mrs. Willett will be held Wednesday, October 20, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 258 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will be private in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, in the funeral home.
