S Carol E. (Lloyd) Schmidt

October 14, 1926 — November 4, 2010

PAXTON – Carol E. (Lloyd) Schmidt, 84, of Briarcliff Lane, died on Thursday, November 4, 2010 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester, after a short illness.

She leaves her husband of 62 years, Donald W. Schmidt; a son, David W.; daughter-in-law, Kandi; and 3 grandchildren, Jody, Heidi and Katie. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Clifford J. and Clara W. (Ploetz) Lloyd, and has lived in Paxton for 53 years.

Carol was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester and was a member of the First Congregational Church in Paxton. She worked in Accounts Payable at Norton Company for 18 years and previously was a teller at Mechanics Bank in Worcester. She enjoyed summering at Manchaug Pond in Douglas/Sutton, reading and spending time with her family.

Friends and family are invited to attend a calling hour from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, followed by a funeral service at 12:15 p.m. in the First Congregational Church of Paxton, 1 Church Street, Paxton. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manchaug Pond Foundation, P.O. Box 154, Manchaug, MA 01526; or to a charity of one's choice.
