S Frances E. (Llobell) Harney
July 1, 1927 — August 20, 2010
PAXTON – Frances E. Harney, 83, of Pleasant Street, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2010, in the Overlook Masonic Health Center, Charlton.
Her husband, Gerard B. Harney, died in 2004. She leaves her daughter, Linda C. Rowley, and her husband John of Yardley, PA; a son, John E. Maccabee, of Hinesville, GA; a sister, E. Marjorie Hewitt, of Charlton; a granddaughter, Christi Lin Rowley, of Yardley, PA; and many nephews and nieces. Her first husband of 22 years, William J. Maccabee, died in 1968. A brother, Paul V. Llobell, predeceased her.
Frances was born on July 1, 1927, in Worcester, a daughter of Sebastian and Ethel M. (Garber) Llobell, and lived in Paxton for 23 years before recently moving to Charlton. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade and worked as a beautician for Denholm & McKay Department Store in Worcester. She later worked 15 years in the Admission's office at Becker Junior College in Leicester.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 28th, at Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA, 01701; or the Masonic Home Patient Activities Fund, 88 Masonic Home Road, P.O. Box 1000, Charlton, MA, 01507. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden.
