HOLDEN – Elizabeth (Goodrow) Nylen Willett, 95, formerly of Riverside, California, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center after an illness.
Her husband, Frank Willett died in 1996 and her first husband, Everett Nylen died in 1980. She leaves a son, Richard Nylen and his wife Blanche of Holden; two sisters, Ellen Sayers and Virginia Oslund both of Riverside; two grandchildren, Richard Nylen, Jr. and Christina Nylen both of Holden; three great-grandchildren, Derek Nylen, Jarred Nylen and Sarah Trafton; nephews and nieces.
She was born in Claremont, New Hampshire, the daughter of John and Dagmar Goodrow. Elizabeth was a dental hygienist for many years in California. She was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church and the Chaffin Woman’s Club both in Holden and she belonged to the Nordic Lodge in Worcester.
Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, Memorial Fund, 70 Highland Street, Holden, MA 01520.
