Life Legacy

LUNENBURG - Elizabeth Margaret "Peggy" Abdow, 93, died Friday, November 3, 2006, in Life Care Center of Leominster. Her husband of 61 years, Henry P. Abdow died in 1993. She leaves 2 daughters, Beverly G. Santora and Brenda J. Pandiscio, both of Lunenburg, and 2 grandsons, Attorney Michael J. Santora, II and Matthew M. Pandiscio, both of Lunenburg, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Abdow was born in Cincinnati, the daughter of Elmer W. and Bertha (Koller) Harrison, and lived in Lunenburg for 57 years. Mrs. Abdow was a member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester. She and her husband, Henry, donated many items to the Cathedral. Through their generosity these fixtures to this day have remained as part of St. George Orthodox Cathedral. Calling hours for Mrs. Abdow are from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, November 6th followed immediately by the funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester. Burial will be private in Hope Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. George Orthodox Cathedral Endowment Fund, 30 Anna Street, Worcester, MA 01604.
