Elizabeth Ann "Bette" Foley

April 16, 1943 — May 7, 2024

Bette Foley has returned to “The Light” after a valiant 8-year battle with Parkinson’s Disease and, in the late stages, dementia.

Bette had the voice of an angel! She shared her gift for singing with many families as the solo vocalist at many, many weddings and other important events over the years. Bette graduated from Anna Maria College as a Voice Major and later taught vocal music in the Worcester Public Schools and in the Northborough Public Schools for more than 30 years.

Bette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Bette and her husband, Luke, were married for 59 years. She and Luke first met and fell in love when both were in high school 65 years ago. Bette loved long walks on the beach with her dogs and the family cottage in Dennisport that they maintained for over 50 years. She and Luke have many fond memories of their retirement years on the Cape and the friends and good times at the Sons of Erin club in Yarmouth.

Bette has four wonderful sons: Luke, Jack, Will, Dan and their loving wives Wendy, Denise, Eileen and Karen. She has six loving and caring grandchildren; Grace, Patrick, Owen the children of Will and Eileen; Gavin Luke, Kayla Elizabeth and Brendan the children of Dan and Karen.

The Angelic Choir is delighted to now have such a Divine Voice! The voice for all her family. We are deeply grateful for the care, concern and friendship of her oldest and closest friend Sue Bamerick and her cousins Maureen, Kathy, Suzanne, Marge, Debbi, Patty and Joanne. Special thanks to her PCP Sabrina and the women of hospice; Kerri, Sheila, Rhoda, and care manager Nikki.

“I am The Way, The Peace, The Light,” if you believe you do not die. There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate Bette in the warmth of spring.
