RUTLAND – Elizabeth “Betty” J. (Fleming) Miller, 58, of 132 Maple Avenue, died at home surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, August 17, 2006.
She leaves her husband of 37 years, Stephen A. Miller; two daughters, Christie L. Miller Girouard and Jodi E. Miller of Rutland; her parents, James T. and Lorraine E. (Arell) Fleming of Worcester; two brothers, Michael J. Fleming of Worcester and James T. Fleming, Jr. of Putnam, CT; several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, was a graduate of North High School, and completed the dental assistant program at Worcester Girls Trade. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, and was known for her generosity, thoughtfulness and kindness towards others.
The funeral for Betty will be held on Monday, August 21, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 290 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Rutland. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s memory may be made to the Memorial Funds at St. Patrick’s Church, P.O. Box 939, Rutland, MA 01543; or the First Congregational Church of Rutland, P.O. Box 484, Rutland, MA 01543.
