HOLDEN/CHARLTON – Elizabeth A. (Bailey) Clapp, 82, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at UMass Memorial Healthcare – Memorial Campus after an illness.
Her loving husband of 15 years, Mark L. Clapp, passed away in 2005. She leaves her daughter, Tress A. Zurowski and her husband, Mike of Brooklyn, CT; her son, Scott G. Francis and his wife, Christine of Leicester; five grandchildren, Josh, Travis, Ruby, Domenic and Lorenzo. She was predeceased by her grandson, Nathan in 2000.
Elizabeth was born in Boston, the daughter of Charles A. and Margaret (McCarthy) Bailey and had lived most of her life in Holden before moving in 2008 to Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton. She worked in the restaurant business for many years prior to retiring. She loved to travel with her late husband and enjoyed crossword puzzles, sweets and shopping.
A private committal service for Elizabeth will be held at Grove Cemetery in Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
