Biography
STERLING/LEOMINSTER – Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Nelson) Delgiudice, 65, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Life Care Center of Leominster after an illness.
She leaves her husband of 46 years, Raymond E. Delgiudice of Leominster; a son, Raymond E. Delgiudice, Jr. of Melbourne, Florida; a daughter, Mary E. Meuse of Leominster; a sister, Donna Korbel of Coral Springs, Florida; two grandchildren, Megan and Michael; many nephews and nieces. A sister, Margaret Bevins, passed away on September 27th.
She was born in Clinton, the daughter of Leo B. and Helena (Welch) Nelson. Betty has lived in Sterling most of her life and graduated from Wachusett High School in 1964. She was a receptionist at HP in Marlborough for many years before she retired in 2007.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, October 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. The funeral service for Betty will be held on Friday, October 7, from the funeral home with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St Anna’s Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster. A private committal service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Sterling at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
