HOLDEN – Elizabeth A. (Liberty) Hennessey, 78, of 115 Main Street, died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester after an illness.
Her husband, Robert J. Hennessey died in 1986. She leaves a son, John R. and his wife, Patricia M. Hennessey of Orlando, Florida; a daughter, Kathleen E. Mountain of Holden; two sisters, Marie Early of Paxton and Kathleen Fontaine of Leicester; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A brother, Alfred J. Liberty, Jr., and a sister, Claire Grady predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Alfred J. and Anne C. (Kennedy) Liberty, and lived most of her life in Worcester before moving to Holden four years ago.
Mrs. Hennessey was a dental receptionist for Dr. Anthony Buonomo in Worcester where she worked for 12 years retiring in 1982. She graduated from St. Stephen’s High School and was a member of St. George’s Church both in Worcester.
The funeral for Mrs. Hennessey will be held Friday, March 19, from the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. George’s Church, 38 Brattle Street, Worcester. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 18, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Mass.
