HOLDEN - Elinor C. (Pearsall) Lamberton, 80, passed away on Saturday January 14, 2023, after a battle with cancer. Born and raised in Worcester, Elinor was the daughter of Milton H. and Ann C. (Murphy) Pearsall and lived most of her live in Holden.
She is survived by her sister Nancy (Pearsall) Fournier, formerly of Holden, and her niece Lisa (Fournier) Kowaleski and her husband Michael.
Elinor was a 1960 graduate of St. Stephen's high school in Worcester, and received her Bachelor and Master's degrees in Education from Worcester State College. She taught for 38 years in the Worcester Public School system at Gage Street School and retired in 1991 from Burncoat Prep School. Elinor was a member of St. George's Church and its Women's Guild in Worcester, National Education Association, Massachusetts Teachers Association, Education Association of Worcester, Retired Educators Association of Massachusetts, Gage Girls, and the Golden Age Group. She loved walking, gardening, and spending time with her sister and her niece and her family, especially at Cape Cod.
Visiting hours will be held on from 9:00 am to 10:15 am on Thursday, April 20, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. George's Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester, with burial following at Grove Cemetery in Holden.
