STERLING - Elaine R. (Doucet) Dion, 64, of 8 Oakwood Drive, died Friday, March 12, 2004, in Leominster Hospital.
She leaves her husband of 39 years, Donald L. Dion; two brothers, Paul Doucet of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Raymond Doucet of Newport, New Hampshire; nephews and nieces. She was born in Manchester, the daughter of Edward E. and Bernadette (Ricard) Doucet, and graduated from St. Anthony High School in New Hampshire and later from IBM School in San Francisco, California.
Mrs. Dion worked for Associated Grocers in Manchester, N.E. Grocers in Worcester, and as a buyer and scheduler for LFE Corporation in Clinton. She was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. She was a member of St. Richard of Chichester Church and the Hiram O. Taylor American Legion Post 189, both in Sterling. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling and camping.
The funeral for Mrs. Dion will be held Tuesday, March 16, from the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Richard of Chichester Church, 4 Bridge Street, Sterling. Spring burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Clinton Road, Sterling. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 15, in the funeral home.
