WEST BOYLSTON – Elaine V. (Johnson) Zona, 82, of West Boylston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by love.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Rudy, a brother, Charles Johnson and two sisters, Elsie Morris and Linnea Hebert. Elaine was born in Worcester on March 16, 1934. She was the daughter of Regina (Anderson) and Charles Johnson from Sweden.
Elaine was a stay at home Mom for many years and later worked in Hogan’s Center at The College of the Holy Cross. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially Anne Deso, her best friend since second grade. She was admired and loved by all those who knew her.
Elaine is survived by her three daughters; Debbie Parker of West Boylston, Diane Santelli and her husband, James of Charlton, Christine DeAngelis and her husband, John of West Boylston, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grand daughters, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5-7 pm on Monday, January 30 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
