LEOMINSTER – Elaine R. Hartwick, 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
Elaine grew up in Hartford, Connecticut with her father, Jack Hartwick, mother, Ann Hartwick/Buckley, and sister, Beth Hartwick. Elaine briefly attended George Washington University, before switching to Clark University in the mid-1990s where she studied in the Geography Department. This is where she found her love of teaching, a love that lasted throughout her lifetime and a passion she passed on to her students. She loved her family which included her husband, Richard Peet, and her three children, Lukas, Eric, and Anna. Elaine’s love of music and llamas will live on forever. She was a magnificent person and will be missed terribly by her family, friends, and students.
Funeral services will be private and are under the direction of the Miles Sterling Funeral Home and Tribute Center, 100 Worcester Rd, Sterling.
