Elaine N. (Field) Iadonisi

August 10, 1926 — July 2, 2014

HOLDEN - Elaine N. (Field) Wohlander Iadonisi, 87, of Holden passed away on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester. Elaine was born in Worcester on August 10, 1926, daughter of the late Ray W. and Selma (Ebert) Field. She graduated from Burncoat Senior High School and Becker Secretarial School, both in Worcester.

She lived in Holden and retired to Washington, NH and then moved back to Holden to be closer to her family. Elaine worked for Harvey & Tracy retiring in 1984. Previously, she worked for Norton Company and Kelly Girls Temp Services.



Elaine was predeceased by her first husband, Roy A. Wohlander, her second husband, Louis Iadonisi, Sr. and her son, Gregory R. Wohlander. She leaves her three children, Alan R. Wohlander and wife, Jacqueline of Northbridge, Andrew M. Wohlander of Perry ME, Alyce D. Johns and her husband, Ronald of Spencer; her nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren ; her step children, Margaret Circello and her husband, Vincent of Dedham and Louis Iadonisi Jr. and his wife, Katherine of Washington, NH , and their children and grandchildren; and her former daughters-in-law, Denise Wohlander of Holden MA and Shirley Wohlander of Hadley.

Elaine enjoyed her family and close friends, she was very involved in her community serving as the previous president of Colony Homes in Holden and continuing her involvement after her presidency. With her volunteer work and the time she spent with her family, Elaine lived a very happy and vibrant life.



The family wishes to thank the UMass Memorial medical staff for their unique dedication and thoughtfulness throughout Elaine’s short time there.



A private Celebration of Life will be held at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden.
