WORCESTER - Elaine Casdin Feingold, 84, a resident of Ramat Aviv, Israel and Worcester, MA died peacefully on June 5, 2023. Elaine was a strong and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend her entire life. She was a loving role model to her family and community. Extremely proud of her son and daughter’s accomplishments and the upstanding people in their own communities, but even more proud of her 6 grandchildren and cherished being a part of their lives.
Elaine was born in Worcester, MA to Seymour and Frances Casdin and lived there, and then in the Tel Aviv area since the 1980’s. Married to David Feingold for 64 years, they built and shared a wonderful life together.
After Classical High School Elaine went to Skidmore College but eventually graduated from Clark University. She was President of National Council of Jewish Women and engaged and supported many organizations. She was a dedicated volunteer with ORT, Worcester JCC and Federation and the Worcester Art Museum for decades. Elaine was the ultimate stay-at-home mother, driver, chef and planner for the family and encouraged her children to be the best they could be. Her kind and youthful spirit knew no bounds and was always available to celebrate the good and support the less good days as life carried on.
Elaine and David made friends all over the world. She was a great athlete and loved to play tennis and golf in the early days and then walked daily, until the very end of her time in this physical realm. Together with her beloved husband she travelled the world.
She is survived by her wonderful loving husband, David Feingold, her daughter Stefani and husband Ariel, her son Jonathan and wife, Anne, and her 6 grandchildren – Amos and Danielle Cuschnir, Ben (Leoni), Alex (Anouchka), Matt and Zak Feingold. She also leaves her friend and sister Jane Kamer and husband Joel and brother-in-law Saul Feingold, as well as her dear nieces, nephews and many friends.
Family and friends will gather to honor Elaine’s remarkable life at her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 7 at Congregation Beth Israel, 15 Jamesbury Drive, Worcester. Interment will follow at B’nai Brith Cemetery, 55 St. John’s Road, Worcester. Arrangements are under the care of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Memorial Obserance will be announced.
