WEST BROOKFIELD – Elaine L. (Arsenault) Scanlan, 91, passed away at Quaboag on the Common on Sunday, January 19, 2014 after an illness.
Her loving husband of 56 years, Frank W. Scanlan, passed away in 1999. She leaves a son, Michael F. Scanlan and his wife Lucinda of Castro Valley, CA; three daughters, Susan C. Leroy and her husband Stuart of Holden, Mary Lou Binnall of Burlington and Patricia A. Scanlan of West Brookfield; a sister, Joyce Quinn of Prince Edward Island, Canada; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
She was born in Old Town, Maine and raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Richard) Arsenault and had lived in Burlington for many years before moving to West Brookfield 20 years ago. Elaine was a nursing assistant at Mary Lane Hospital in Ware and the Choate Hospital in Woburn.
