WEST BOYLSTON – Shirley E. (Lagerstrom) Flynn, 86, formerly of Bonnyview Drive, died peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2011 in the Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Holden.
Her husband, Edward H. Flynn died in 1975. She leaves a son, Steven E. Flynn and his wife Faye of Medford Lakes, New Jersey; two daughters, Sandra L. Walker and her husband James of Holden and Kathleen A. Lovell and her husband Ronald of Lakeland, Florida; a sister, Doris Palmer of Spencer; five grandchildren, Jennifer Guertin, Kristin Treadway, Matthew Walker, J.T. Flynn and Hannah Rose Flynn; two great-grandchildren, Claire Guertin and William Treadway; and a dear friend, Joseph Walne of Auburn. She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John and Agnes (Carlson) Lagerstrom and lived over 50 years in West Boylston.
Mrs. Flynn graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and later worked for George J. Meyer Manufacturing Co. for 10 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of West Boylston.
A funeral service for Mrs. Flynn will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 17th at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, West Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
