Eilleen Nellie (Hyland) Borezo

MARLBOROUGH/PAXTON - Eilleen N. (Hyland) Borezo, 79, of Marlborough and formerly of Paxton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 13, 2014.
Eilleen was born in Spencer, a daughter of the late John C. and Nellie M. (Latvis) Hyland. She was raised in Paxton and was a longtime resident there until moving to Marlborough three years ago.
Eilleen graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester, and then began a 40 year career working for the State Mutual Life Assurance Company in Worcester, where she retired as a pension supervisor. She was a member of the Paxton American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Eilleen loved to travel, visiting areas all over the country, puzzle time with Juanita and Linda, as well as her regular trips to enjoy the casino with her daughter and friends. A woman with strong family values and relationships, Eilleen treasured her two grandchildren, the true joy in her life.
She leaves her daughter, Katherine Pitman and her husband, Craig of Marlborough, with whom she lived and their two children, Sarah and Sai; her two brothers and several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Edwin J. Borezo in 1983.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eilleen’s family on Friday, September 19, from 9-10:15 am at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Her funeral will then be celebrated at 11 am at St. Columba’s Church, 18 Richards Avenue, Paxton. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be made to the A.L.S. Family Charitable Foundation, 121 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.
