Biography
WORCESTER - Eileen P. (Katcoff) Sreiberg, 85, of Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Saint Vincent Hospital after a short illness.She was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Weiner) Katcoff. Her husband of 59 years, Ben Sreiberg, died in 2010. She was the loving mother to her daughters, Ivy Beaudreau and her husband, Edgar, and Debbie Goldsmith and her husband, Craig; and a devoted Bubbie to her three grandsons, Jason Beaudreau, Adam Beaudreau and his wife, Ashley, and Robbie Goldsmith and his wife, Lindsay. She also leaves her in-laws, Morty and Issy Sreiberg, Sarah Entin, and Jeannette Katcoff; in addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, David and Harold Katcoff, and her in-laws, Louis Entin and Bertha Katcoff.Eileen graduated from Commerce High School and during her work career, was employed in the fields of education, insurance and banking, prior to retiring at age 70. She was a member of the Yeshiva-Congregation Tifereth Israel Synagogue and a volunteer at the Jewish Healthcare Center gift shop. Eileen loved spending time with her family and friends, playing mahjongg and Rummikub, and was a voracious reader.A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 4, at the Yeshiva-Congregation Tifereth Israel Synagogue, 22 Newton Avenue, Worcester, under the direction of Richard Perlman of Miles Funeral Home of Holden. Burial will be in Holy Society Cemetery on Havana Road, Leicester.Memorial observance will be announced at the time of the funeral.Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Healthcare Center, Ladies Auxiliary, 629 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609; or to a charity of one's choice.
