Eileen A. Toomey

PAXTON - Eileen Ann (Crutcher) Toomey, 53, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at The Meadows of Central Mass in Leicester. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, a daughter of Margaret (Wiles) Wilkins of Rutland and the late Dr. John “Jack” Richard Crutcher.



Eileen was raised in Paxton and attended Wachusett Regional High School. Her career as a manufacturing manager spanned over 25 years and she brought tremendous hard work, dedication and compassion to everything that she did. Eileen was happiest when spending time with her children and family. She will be remembered as a selfless, loving and giving woman who always made everyone around her smile and laugh. Her loss leaves a great sadness in the hearts of her many loved ones.



Eileen is survived by her mother, Margaret Wilkins of Rutland; her children, Sara, Sean and Emily Toomey of Paxton; her sisters, Maria Hopkins of Spencer, Rachel Dolan of Rutland, Sara Crutcher of Abilene TX and Sonia Root of Rutland; and her brothers, Thomas and Joseph Crutcher of Rutland. She is predeceased by her father, Dr. John "Jack" Crutcher; a sister, Katrina “Katy” Riedle of Spencer; and her nephew, Nicholas Rayburn of Abilene TX.



Eileen also shared a special relationship with her many nieces and nephews who loved their Auntie “Leenie Bean” Eileen very much. She had a way with children that will never be forgotten. Eileen will also be missed by many family friends, who considered her as a second mom and were welcomed into her home with open arms.



A celebration of Eileen's life will be held at the Rutland Sportsman's Club, 75 Pleasantdale Rd., Rutland, on Sunday, July 5, from 2 to 6 p.m. Family and family friends are invited to attend as we share smiles, laughs and the many fond memories that Eileen has left with us.
