PAXTON – James Edward Kelley, Jr., 66, formerly of Paxton and a resident of Gilbert, Arizona, died Monday, December 25, 2006 in his home, where he resided with his loving wife Debbie, son Chris and daughter Megan. He is also survived by his four children from a previous marriage, James E. Kelley III of Lawrenceville, GA, Cheryl A. Chauvin and Lorie A. Kelley both of Dudley and Kimberly Flenke of Elizabethtown, PA. Jim was the proud grandfather of his six grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Wayne Kelley of Worcester and Timothy Kelley of Holden, and a sister, Katherine Moynihan of Worcester. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Beatrice Kelley, and a brother, William Kelley.
He was born in Rumford, Maine on September 18, 1940 and was raised in Paxton. He was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He recently retired after a 40-year professional career in electronics including domestic and foreign travel.
The funeral Mass for Mr. Kelley will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2007 in St. Columba Church, 18 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Avenue (Rte. 56), Paxton. Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden, is directing arrangements.
