HOLDEN – Edward A. Seman, Sr., 98, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, at Rose Monahan Hospice Home after an illness. He was born in Plainfield, NJ, the son of Gabriel and Teofila (Krystopowicz) Seman and had lived in Holden since 1963.
His wife Helen S. (Rozycki) Seman, passed away in 2009. He leaves his daughter, Evelyn M. Sullivan and her husband Robert of Worcester; his granddaughter, Stephanie Malette; and his nephew, David Beck. He was predeceased by his daughter, Doris A. Malette who passed away in February 2012 and his son, Edward A. Seman, Jr., who passed in March 2013.
Edward proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a pattern maker for many years at ThermoFab Co. in Shirley before retiring. He was a member of the Holden Rod and Gun Club and was a former Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed collecting stamps and coins and could always be found working on projects in his basement.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23rd in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Edward will be held on Wednesday, November 24th with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Holden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
