Edward B. Leonard

HOLDEN – Edward B. Leonard, 82, of 1130 Wachusett Street, Jefferson, affectionately known as “Eddie Getty”, died Monday, May 7, 2007 in UMass Memorial Healthcare, after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Eleanor M. (Goss) Leonard; three sons, Edward A. Leonard of Ormand Beach, Florida, Walter R. Leonard of Ormand By The Sea, Florida and Ronald K. Leonard of Holden; a daughter, Lori L. Leonard of Holden; three sisters, Ruth Bergin of Medford, Gerry Muise of Chelsea and Barbara Bedard of Berlin, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Donald and Walter Leonard, predeceased him.

Calling hours for Mr. Leonard will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. July 26th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 27th, at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
