PAXTON – Edna (Rossier) Jarzinski Hagg, 88, formerly of West Street, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006, in Holden Nursing Home after an illness.
Her first husband, John Jarzinski, died in 1970. Her second husband, Melvin Hagg, died in 1977. She leaves a daughter, Jean N. Brunelle and her husband Lawrence of Rutland; a sister, Doris Anderson of Brewster; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, John Jarzinski, Jr., and a sister, Hazel Christenson, predeceased her. She was born in Paxton, the daughter of Clarence and Minni (Henderson) Rossier, and lived here all her life.
Mrs. Hagg graduated from South High School in Worcester and worked 30 years at General Electric Company in Ashland, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Paxton, their Women’s Guild and sang in the choir. She was also an active member of the Paxton Senior Center.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hagg will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will be private in Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove Street, Worcester. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to the Holden Nursing Home, Residents Activity Fund, 32 Mayo Drive, Holden, MA 01520.
