HOLDEN – Edith L. Pierson, 101, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center of Worcester after an illness.
She leaves a nephew, Bradford Lawson of Worcester and was predeceased by her brother, Harold E. Pierson. She was born in Holden, the daughter of Paul and Maria (Ulricka) Pierson and lived most of her life in Holden. She was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Holden. Edith’s artistic ability in creating beautiful paintings was a long time passion of hers. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a calling hour at 12 noon on Tuesday, Aug. 6, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Interment will follow at Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund, 346 Shrewsbury Street, Holden, MA 01520.
