PRINCETON/STERLING – Pauline E. (Barsalou) Lavallee, 69, of Boylston Avenue, died at her son's home in Boylston on Saturday, April 11, 2009, surrounded by her loving family after an illness.
She leaves a son, James E. Lavallee and his wife Lynne of Boylston; two daughters, Cindy L. Carey and her husband Michael of Rutland and Melissa J. Sweeten and her husband Timothy of Worcester; a brother, Paul Barsalou of Bradenton, Florida; three sisters. Madeline Racine of Shelburne, VT, Theresa Todriff of Jericho, VT and Elaine Gregory of Arcadia, CA; six grandchildren, Garrett, Jonathan, Cullen, Jakob, Erika and Celia; several nephews and nieces. She was born in Winooski, Vermont, the daughter of Rene and Rita (Bedard) Barsalou and lived in Sterling for 34 years before moving to Princeton six years ago.
Mrs. Lavallee graduated from Mount Saint Mary's Academy and attended Champlain College both in Burlington, Vermont. She was the Administrative Secretary to the Vice President at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, where she worked many years. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. The funeral for Mrs. Lavallee will be held on Thursday, April 16th, from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 114 Princeton, Street, Jefferson. Burial will be private in Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Why Me? and Sherry's House, 1152 Pleasant Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
