HOLDEN – Susan D. (Salmi) Keith, 62, of Briarcliff Lane, died Thursday, November 8, 2007 in Saint Vincent Hospital, after an illness.
She leaves her son, David M. Keith of Hubbardston; her daughter, Emily J. Keith of Holden; a sister, Ruth Austin of Pittsfield; and four nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Stanley A. and Esther C. (Aho) Salmi, and was a graduate of North High School and the Deaconess School of Nursing in Boston. After graduating college, she moved to Vermont where she worked at Central Vermont Hospital as an intensive care nurse for over eleven years before residing in Holden. She was a Registered Nurse for many local nursing homes, most recently at Knollwood Nursing Center for the last three years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Worcester and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour from 12 to 1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13th, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street (Rte. 122A), Holden. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove Street, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 114 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
