WEST BOYLSTON – Dorothy M. (Howard) Rotti, 83, of 48 Sterling Place, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2006, in the presence of her loving family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter P. Rotti, in 1978. She leaves her daughter with whom she lived, Karen J. and her husband Patrick W. Inderwish; two sons, Alfred R. and his wife Kathleen A. Rotti and Howard B. and his wife Carol A. Rotti all of West Boylston; a brother, Richard Howard of Worcester; six grandchildren, Travis, Christopher and Stephanie Rotti, Kimberly Theriault, Meghan and Lauren Inderwish; a great-granddaughter, Nora Rotti; and several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Ralph Howard, and her sister, Shirley Billington, predeceased her.
Mrs. Rotti was born in Worcester, daughter of Philip and Nellie Edith (Phelps) Howard, and lived most of her life in West Boylston. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. She was a member and thrift shop volunteer at the First Congregational Church of West Boylston, and a member of the West Boylston Historical Society and Senior Center. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Rotti will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, in the First Congregational Church of West Boylston, 26 Central Street. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 32 Church Street, West Boylston. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 on Monday, June 5, in the Miles-Sterling Funeral Home, 100 Worcester Road (Rte. 12), Sterling. In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Dorothy Rotti may be made to the West Boylston Historical Society, c/o Town Clerk, 120 Prescott Street, West Boylston, MA 01583.
